Asana or postures are only a small portion of what constitutes yoga. Traditionally the greater emphasis of yoga was on meditation. Other practices were a means to prepare the body and mind. Whenever I use the word “yoga” it includes any or all of the following: meditation, pranayama (breathing practices), mudras, bandhas, asana, mantra and yoga detoxification techniques. All semi-private sessions include asana, pranayama, meditation and mudras. Other practices are included as appropriate.
